Something For The Radio mixtapes

Big Mike's mixtapes series "Something For The Radio" is perfect for the person who only likes more the radio hits and not the gangster rap. Every cd is packed full of all of the current radio hits and club bangers. DJ Envy's series "The Hitlist" is the same as well. I always recommend these to people who like nice mixtapes for the car for a Sunday afternoon to just ride straight through without having to skip any songs.

For you R&B mixtape heads, the "R&B Jumpoff" series is all of the newest and hottest R&B tracks on one mixtape. They drop usually every three weeks or so and each one is better than the last.

Best Big Pun mixtape EVER

DJ 007 came out with a Big Pun mixtape a couple years ago called "Wish I could Bring Pun Back". This cd is bonkers. 51 tracks. You can go to my site and listen to MP3 samples of it. It has all the hits, plus tons of cameos, exclusives. The jam with Kool G Rap is one of the best lost tracks of his I have ever heard. Big Pun mixtapes are fantastic.

Alot of people forget about Pun. They always mention the greatest rappers as being 2Pac, Biggie, Eminem, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, etc. Pun was just as good as Pac and Biggie, and lyrically he smokes both of them. If you have never messed with Big Punisher or heard his stuff, definitely check it out. In Pun's words, "I'm like 2Pac, Scarface, Master P, all rolled up with a twist of Marc Anthony". The only latin rapper to go platinum without the basuda. RIP Pun....

Free Max B!!!

You may not know who Max B is, but he is one of the most talented and hardest rappers out here. He used to be with Jim Jones and the Byrdgang boys. He sang the hook on "Baby Girl", "G's Up", "Don't Forget About Me", "So Harlem", and lots more. He was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and sentenced to 75 years. He is currently appealing his conviction. He dropped tons of Max B mixtapes while he was free.

Last year I got with his manager and his mom and we did an official mixtape with him from behind the prison walls. DJ 007 put the mixtape together. I came up with the cover concept and when I ran it by Max he was feeling it.

The Max B mixtape is Arismixtapes.com & DJ 007-Max B "Picture Me Rollin''. 34 tracks of pure heat. The entire mixtape is hosted by Max himself. He shouts out me, my brother Sev, my brother Aaron (R.I.P), a couple of my homies, etc. He gave us multiple exclusives and brand new freestyles from the penitentiary. I had him rap over a couple old 2Pac beats, 50 Cent "Crimewave", and he killed em.

This cd has sold like crazy. Definitely check it out. Whether you are big fan of his or you have never heard him, this one will win you over. Free Max B!!

Great Drake mixtapes

I really been feeling Drake since he first came out. His Drake mixtapes have been great and his album is also really good. I been gone off the song "Karoake" lately. I play it over and over again. Haunting is the best word for it. His top ones are:

DJ Delz-Drake "Can't Knock The Hustle". More of the harder jams.
DJ Rob E Rob-"The Official Drake Mixtape" A great compilation of all of his earlier mixtape stuff. This one got me gone off "HoustonAtlantaVegas"
DJ Dibiase & Singh Slim-"So Far So Gucci" This is a crazy blend mixtape of all Gucci Mane & Drake songs blended together. It is really good and really original.

One of my favorite mixtapes of all time

If you have never checked it out, check out Lil Wayne and DJ Drama "Dedication 2". This is my favorite of all the Lil Wayne mixtapes , and it's a damn classic! Every song is good. This is Weezy F at his finest, people. Even on the intro track, with Drama's voice sample blaring "You are now watching a master at work...", you know you're in for it. My standout tracks (hard to choose, honestly) are Best In The Business, Workin Em, South Muzik, Dedication 2, shit the list goes on.

If you have never checked this one out and you like Lil' Wayne at all, please do yourself a favor. This is why I love this mixtape game. This mixtape incinerates anything that Wayne has ever done on any of his studio albums. Pure fire. This is THE definitive Lil Wayne mixtape. The Champ is out....

New Mixtape Recommendations

Hey y'all, I wanted to drop two new mixtapes recommendations on you.

DJ Envy-"Down & Dirty R&B 34". These Down & Dirty series comes out every three weeks or so and features all of the new club-type jams with rappers paired with R&B singers. This current mixtape is a really good one. Standout tracks are (my jam) Usher and Pitbull "DJ Got Us Falling In Love", the new "OMG" remix with Usher featuring Gucci Mane, and Ciara's new "Gimme Dat".

Also the newest of the Young Jeezy mixtapes. DJ P-Cutta Young Jeezy "Trappin' In The Streets 3". Features new songs like Jizzle with Lil' Jon, Killers with Drake, and The Real BMF with Big Meech. As usual, Jeezy comes harder than everyone else.

Definitely check these two out.

Mixtapes are the best

I just wanted to start this blog off by saying that mixtapes are the best. There have been tons of new mixtapes dropping lately. A few notables:

DJ Drama & Gucci Mane: Mr. Zone 6. This one is one of the summer's top mixtapes. All new Gucci exclusives. Standout tracks are "Georgia's Most Wanted", "Normal", and "Mr. Zone 6". The whole cd is good front to back.

DJ Don Cannon & Young Jeezy-Trap Or Die 2. This is an instant classic. Great all the way through. Jeezy came back on his A-Game to prepare for his upcoming "Thug Motivation 103" album.

DJ Green Lantern & DJ Drama-Jadakiss "The Champ Is Here 3". My favorite mixtape of the summer so far. Unbelievable. The song "Soldiers Survivors" with Nas and Sheek Louch is insane.
