One of the best hip-hop mixtapes series around is easily DJ White Owl's great "Drop That" series. Featuring a mix of East Coast and Down South material with some occasional West thrown in as well, the Drop That mixtapes always feature the absolute newest of the new cuts from hip-hop's elite.
The newest volume, "Drop That 146", features spankin new cuts like "Put Some Money On It" from Jadakiss Sheek and Joell Ortiz, Jadakiss and Styles P "Miss Me When I'm Gone", Lil' Wayne and Slim Thug on the banger "I Don't Give A Fuck", a Reagan Era album exclusive from Juelz Santana, Cam'ron and Vado on "C.R.E.A.M.", Jim Jones and Juelz Santana on "A Perfect Day", Nas new joint "Snitch Alibi" and even new ones from Ghostface, Black Rob, and Redman! How much better does it get than this????

DJ Cool Breeze Waka Flocka Flame Flocka Nights
One artist who has been grinding up the mixtape circuit is Waka Flocka Flame. Since his big hit "O Let's Do It" with Gucci Mane last summer, Waka has made himself into a household name through his gangbangin-type street raps, and many street gangs have become big fans of Waka's music. He has dropped tons of mixtapes and stayed close to his original recipe. He does not attempt to be super lyrical or flow the greatest, but rather just to keep it gutter and raw for the fans.
DJ Cool Breeze brings you this brand new mixtape, titled "Waka Flocka Flame-Flocka Nights". Featuring new cuts like "Hands Up Lay Down" with Twista, "Gangsta Hop", "Go Duffy", "32 And Brick Squad" with YBC, Lil Dre, Wooh Da Kid and Frenchie, "Bang Bang", "No Hands" with Roscoe Dash and Wale, "Hit Da Hoe" with Princess, "You Know" with Gucci Mane, and many more. This one is sure to give all you Waka fanatics a good dose of his street science...

Drake J.Cole Lyrical Kings
Two artists who are tearing up the hip-hop world through their mixtapes are Drake and J.Cole. While Drake has obviously built the bigger career already, J.Cole is quickly following suit to ensure that he is also a millionaire freshman as well long before his debut album drops.
This brand new mixtape from DJ CoolBreeze, titled "Drake and J.Cole-Lyrical Kings", features new material from both stellar artists. New cuts from Drake include "In The Morning", "Moment For Life", "Go Head", "Pussy Ass" with Lil' Wayne, "You Got It", "I'm Ready For You" and more. New J.Cole tracks include "I'm On It", "For The City", "Put Your Hands High", "For Real", "Presidential", "Come Here" and more. These two are showing all the other newcomers just how it's supposed to be done.

Eminem Life After Recovery
One artist who has not been big on dropping many mixtapes for quite some time is Eminem. His career has been so successful that he is probably the only hip-hop artist who can drop no music for YEARS and then out of the blue, with no promotion, drop a new album and go platinum in weeks. This is why Eminem mixtapes are always so coveted.
The new Eminem mixtape is brought to you as a combo from The Syndicate and DJ Capcom. Titled "Eminem-Life After Recovery", this one features all kinds of new exclusives from Mr. Mathers. New cuts include "Echo" feat. Royce Da 5'9, "It's Over", "Triple B's", "Seduction", "I Need A Doctor" feat. Dr. Dre, "Ridaz", "All She Wrote", the great "Celebrity" with Akon and Lloyd Banks, and many more. With this newly clean and sober Em, he seems to be back on top of his game for the first time in years. It's nice to see...

DJ Rell Lil' Boosie The Golden Child 5
One artist who has made Hip-Hop Mixtapes worth your time is Lil' Boosie. Boosie is one of the hands-down realest rappers out there, and he raps like Pac did: From the heart, honest, pain and all, nothing hidden. If you've ever heard his song "Rain", you know just what I mean. Unfortunately, he is currently sitting in prison and possibly facing the death penalty for murder. Still, mixtapes are dropping from him featuring new material he did before going in. He said on his "Last Days" dvd that he made around 300 songs before going in.
The newest Boosie mixtape is from DJ Rell, as part of the fantastic "Golden Child" series with Lil' Boosie. The newest edition, "The Golden Child 5", keeps Boosie's memory strong while he's away and reminds his fans why he is the king of these street raps. Tracks include "Been Off The Porch", "Bang Bang Boogie", "Nobody Likes Me", "Memories" ft. Webbie, "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone", "We Up", the banger "Do Me Right" with his homie B.G., "Infatuated" with Locco and Foxx, and many more. Free Boosie Bad Ass!!!!!

DJ Rell Webbie The New King Of BR
Hip-Hop Mixtapes wouldn't be the same without Webbie. Webbie came up under Pimp C, and he continues in the tradition of his labelmate Lil' Boosie, making raw, uncut gangster street rap who like their hip-hop real and ugly. Webbie has had many solid mixtapes, and he has built quite a following for himself in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana as well as across the world.
The newest Webbie mixtape is brought to you courtesy of DJ Rell. Titled "Webbie-The New King Of BR", this one features all of Webbie's newest material, as he is holding down Baton Rouge in Boosie's absence. New cuts include "G Shit 2", "You Bitch", "My People", "Put Some Money Up", "Tool", "Fuck Wit Me", "For Cheap", "Flashy", "Roof", "If If Was A Fifth" and more. Nicki Minaj Vs Lil Kim-The Pink Vagina Monologues
Nicki Minaj mixtapes have caused quite a stir the past year or so. She came out of nowhere and seemingly took over the long-vacant spot for queen of hip-hop. However, she made a real enemy along the way, by the name of Lil' Kim. Lil' Kim has been around for a long time, she messed with Biggie personally, was down with Lox and Diddy way back when, and has decades in the hip-hop game, while Nicki is a relative newcomer.
This excellent new mixtape, "The Pink Vagina Monologues", documents the war between the two ladies and gives you a taste of both of their material. Both diss tracks are included (Nicki's "Roman's Revenge" with Eminem and Lil' Kim's scathing response "Black Friday"), as well as interviews with the two female rappers. Other cuts include "I Wanna Rock", "Pussy Purr", and "By You" from Lil' Kim, and "Blazin", "I Ain't Thru" and "Monster" from Ms. Minaj. Hip-Hop must go through it's WWF phases, for some reason...

DJ Envy The Hitlist 47
One type of mixtape that most everyone seems to love are the radio mixtapes. These are compilations of all of the hottest songs playing on the radio right now, and people love them because rather than have to wait for their favorite song to come onto the radio or buy the artists' cd for the one song that they like, they can have a cd full of back-to-back hits that they can play straight through and enjoy every song.
DJ Envy's super popular series "The Hitlist" fills this craving perfectly. On his newest volume, "The Hitlist 47", Envy brings you all the hottest radio jams of the past few weeks. Popular joints include "Black Friday" from Lil Kim, "Black And Yellow" from Wiz Khalifa, "Right Above It" from Lil Wayne and Drake, "What's My Name" from Rihanna and Drake, "I Ain't Thru" from Keyshia Cole and Nicki Minaj, "Pretty Girl Rock" from Keri Hilson, "Lay It Down" from Lloyd, "One In A Million" from Ne-Yo, "No BS" from Chris Brown and many more.

DJ Envy Down N Dirty RnB 38
Whether your taste is Hip-Hop Mixtapes or RnB mixtapes, DJ Envy always got you covered. This series is good for fans of both. The "Down N Dirty RnB" series features all collabos between today's top RnB artists and the hottest hip-hop stars. I have always loved the pairing of the two, going back to Jadakiss/Mariah or Biggie/R Kelly or Method Man/Mary J Blige. There is something about the pairing of hip-hop and RnB that just comes off flawlessly, if done right.
The newest volume in this great series is "Down N Dirty RnB 38". This one features new collabs from Keri Hilson with Kanye West "Pretty Girl Rock", Lloyd and Lloyd Banks "Forever", Rihanna and Nicki Minaj "Raining Men", Trey Songz and Fabolous "Right Above It", "Altered Ego" from Bobby V with 50 Cent, "So In Love" from Chrisette Michele with Rick Ross, and many more. If you love the collabs like I do, definitely check this series out. You will not at all be disappointed...

Tapemasters Inc DJ Envy Purple Codeine 33
DJ Envy mixtapes are so strong that he actually built himself a career that landed him a spot on MTV doing episodes of a music show. DJ Envy has a long career of strong and well-known mixtapes, from his "Hit List" series to his "Down N Dirty RnB Series" to his fantastic down south "Purple Codeine" series.
This newest edition, done as a collabo between DJ Envy and Tapemasters Inc, is titled "Purple Codeine 33". This one, in the usual vein, features all the newest and hottest southern hip-hop tracks. New joints include Jeezy's take on Wiz Khalifa's "Black And Yellow" (which may be THE most remixed song of 2010), the brand new banger "Poppin Bottles" from T.I. featuring Drake, the fantastic "Fuck You" from my dude Slim Thug featuring Lil Wayne, "Fast" from the king himself Bun B featuring Lloyd, plus new ones from Birdman, Rick Ross, Pusha T, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane and more. Evil Empire Tapemasters Inc Power Part 5
One of the great recent Hip-Hop mixtapes series is the "Power" series by a collabo between Tapemasters Inc. and Evil Empire. These mixtapes feature both East and South with a little lean towards the East. They are always solid and full of songs not heard on other mixtapes. I started off with volume one, just to check it out, and since then I have messed with every one they have dropped.
The newest edition in this series is "Power Part 5". This one features tons of smokin new cuts, including the brand new Lil' Kim cut "Black Friday" dissing Nicki Minaj. Also included are "White N Navy" from Fabolous, "Poppin Bottles" from T.I. featuring Drake, "Illegal Business" from my dude Jadakiss, the crazy "That's My Bitch" from Kanye West and Jay-Z, "Start It Up" from the Phantom Styles P, "Fast Lane" from Cam's protege Vado, "Where I'm At" (Banger!!) from Lloyd Banks and Eminem, and many more. 26 tracks in total, this one is another instant mixtape classic...

DJ Keyz Gangland 19 Young Money
Since the beginning, Young Money mixtapes have been causing quite a stir. They literally built the insanely successful careers of Drake and Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne would have never gotten where he is without his brutal mixtape grind. With Wayne's recent release from prison, the Young Money camp now has their general back and is poised for even bigger things.
The newest Young Money mixtape is "Gangland 19-Young Money", brought to you courtesy of DJ Keyz. This one features all of the newest material from the Young Money camp. New cuts include "Hoes And Ladies" and "Fire Flame" from Lil Wayne, "In The Morning" and "Deuces" from Drake, "Moment 4 Life" and "Super Bass" from Nicki Minaj, as well as new cuts from Tyga, Jae Millz, and Gudda Gudda. With the Carter 4 on the way, it seems like 2011 will be yet another Young Money year....

DJ Keyz Gangland 20 Dipset
Dipset mixtapes are legendary in how strong of a legacy they built for the Diplomats. Even though Cam'ron had already had a name from his work with Children Of The Corn and cameos with other rappers as well as his solo "Confessions Of Fire" album, Jim Jones Juelz Santana Hell Rell JR Writer and Freaky Zeeky were all unknowns. Through the grassroots movement of Dipset mixtapes they all became household names and many of them built huge careers (mainly Jim and Juelz). Dipset has always been known for a flashy style and swag that is definitively Harlem and cannot be duplicated.
The newest Dipset mixtape is "Gangland 20-Dipset", brought to you by DJ Keyz. This one features all that spankin new Dipset heat, including the brand new reunion tracks they have been doing lately. I was so overjoyed to watch the recent street videos of them in New York recording with Dr. Dre, on the streets joking, a few club performances with Cam Jimmy and JR all on the same stage, etc. It's like family members back together again after so long. New cut "Cinderella" features Jones Cam and JR Writer all on the same track, as well as "Certified", "I'm On It", "Follow You On Twitter", "Feel Free", "Gettin' It" and many more. 28 new tracks in total....It's Dip, Dip, Dipset....

DJ Keyz Gangland 21 D-Block
D-Block mixtapes are now, and have always been, the most solid and well-done mixtapes in the game. Jadakiss, Styles and Sheek are easily Top Five Dead Or Alive, and they each bring a distinct and talented style to this thing we call hip-hop. Although Jadakiss is a great rapper and easily the most commercially accessible, many people overlook Styles and Sheek, who are both such great rappers that they really have no competition that I can see.
The newest D-Block mixtape is "Gangland 21-D-Block", brought to you by DJ Keyz. These Gangland cds are always slammin. This one features all new material from dem D-Block boyz, tracks like the incredible "Tape Rock" from Jadakiss, "Start It Up" from Styles P, and "If You Love Me" by Sheek Louch. Other new bangers include "86", "Rocks Out Here", "Not A Drug Dealer", "Close Your Eyes", "Runaway" and many more. D-Block is in the building....

DJ Keyz Gangland 22 G-Unit
One group who was never scared of promotion is G-Unit. G-Unit mixtapes paved the way for the monstrous career of 50 Cent, and without them he would have never gotten with Dr. Dre and Eminem to drop his smash album "Get Rich Or Die Tryin". The old Whoo Kid mixtapes "No Mercy No Fear", "50 Cent Is The Future", "Automatic Gunfire" and "God's Plan" were all a strong taste of things to come and had fans chomping at the bit for a 50 Cent album.
While G-Unit mixtapes don't drop like they used to, they still regularly drop street bangers. DJ Keyz' latest effort, "Gangland 22-G-Unit" chronicles all of their newest material from late 2010. New tracks include WHEN I GET THERE - LLOYD BANKS, LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION - TONY YAYO, LARGE ON THE STREETS - LLOYD BANKS, BUZZIN - 50 CENT, CELEBRITY - LLOYD BANKS FEAT. EMINEM & AKON (Banger!!), DUMP - 50 CENT FEAT. JADAKISS,
STUNTIN' - LLOYD BANKS, POCKETS ON SWOLE - TONY YAYO, SPEAKERS ON BLAST - LLOYD BANKS, ALTERED EGO - 50 CENT, and many more.

Smooth Denali Hip-Hop Classics 21 Soundclash
Old School mixtapes always seem to cause quite a stir. I am not sure if it is the fact that alot of people haven't heard these songs in awhile, or if just hearing these collections back to back brings folks back to the days when they heard them all the time, but they definitely cause people to get rowdy. Some love the old school hip-hop joints, which take them back to 1980's New York or early 90's California, while some love the flashback RnB stuff, reminding them of the smooth 70's when they were with their high school girlfriend. Either way, old school mixtapes just seem to bring out the best in people.
Smooth Deanli is no stranger to old school mixtapes. He has both an old school hip-hop and a RnB series. The newest volume in his bestselling hip-hop series is titled "Hip-Hop Classics 21-Soundclash". This one focuses on Pete Rock and DJ Premier, two of the old school greats. Tracks include Premo's "Deep Concentration", Nas' "NY State Of Mind", "Above The Clouds" from Gangstarr and Inspectah Deck, "I Get Physical" from Pete Rock and CL Smooth, "One In A Million" from Jay-Z, and many more. DJ Smooth Denali We Grew Up On Hip-Hop 3 Bad Boy Records
DJ Smooth Denali is easily one of the best and most talented DJ's to come out of New York City. Smooth Denali mixtapes have been around forever, and his name has become synonymous with solid skills. He has done old-school, new school, R&B, Reggaeton, House, Reggae...You name it, he has out his stamp on it.
One of his best series is titled "We Grew Up On Hip-Hop". These focus on a particular era and showcase the best songs from that time. The newest volume, "We Grew Up On Hip-Hop 3", focuses on the 90's era Bad Boy Records. What a great time for music that was. This one has all the greats. "Flava In Ya Ear" from both Craig Mack and Biggie's fantastic remix, "Unbelievable" from Biggie, "Victory" from Puff Biggie and Busta Rhymes, "All About The Benjamins" from the whole squad, "Money Power Respect" from the Lox and DMX, "24 Hours To Live" from Mase Lox and Lil' Kim, and even some lesser known ones like the classic "Senorita" from Puff. DJ White Owl Drop That 145
DJ White Owl continues on his path to be the king of exclusives. DJ White Owl mixtapes always feature the newest of the new hip-hop cuts. The "Drop That" series is unbelievably on it's 145th installment and moving forward without stopping. These cds are crazy hard, and I have heard so many jams on here that I have never heard elsewhere.
The newest installment to this movement is "DJ White Owl-Drop That 145". This one features crazy new cuts like "That's My Bitch" from Kanye West and Jay-Z, the spankin new "Hoes And Ladies" from the newly released Lil' Wayne, "That's Where I'm At" from Eminem and Lloyd Banks (which is a great revenge song, with Em singing to some female about how much she'd love life right now if she was him but she doesn't because it sucks to be her), plus new ones from Styles P, Tony Yayo, a long Max B phone interview from prison, Cassidy, Sheek, Joell Ortiz, and a new song with Cam'ron Jim Jones and JR Writer on it together ("Cinderella") which sounds really nice to hear them all together again. Another solid win for DJ White Owl...

The Empire Southern Slang 20
The Empire mixtapes gathered great attention when The Empire dropped the classic "The Drought Is Over" mixtape series with Lil' Wayne, which featured all new material from Weezy on each volume and caught Wayne's attention, which caused his scathing response. The Empire has been dropping his Southern Slang series for awhile now, which spotlights the newest and hottest hip-hop tracks to drop from the South.
This new one, "Southern Slang 20", features new joints from Alley Boy "Feel Me" (who also hosts the mixtape), Yo Gotti with Rick Ross "Teenage Numbers", T.I. with Kanye and Kid Cudi "Real Love", Gucci Mane "I'm In Love", the street banger from Lil' Boosie with B.G. "Do Me Right", brand new "Fire Flame" from the freshly-released Lil Wayne with Birdman, Rocko "Streets Made Of Gold", and more. This one shows that the south is still running the hip-hop game.

T.I. A Changed Man
T.I. has been building a name for himself for years now, ever since his old DJ Drama mixtape "Down With The King" and his debut album "I'm Serious". T.I. mixtapes have helped cement his name as one of hip-hop's elite, and he has honestly become better with time (which is something that cannot be said for many other rappers). Unfortunately, T.I. was recently caught smoking weed in California, and he was sent back to prison for two more years.
This new mixtape , titled "T.I.-A Changed Man"features his newest material he did just prior to going back to jail. Reggaeton Mixtapes
Reggaeton Mixtapes are nice to try when you want a little something different. Reggaeton mixes club-type music with latin and beats similar to reggae to create a new music form that many people are die-hard fans of. Reggaeton mixtapes have many great beats and they are perfect for parties.
Popular Reggaeton DJ's are DJ Rei Double R, DJ Skillz, DJ Amo, and my personal favorite DJ Jamsha. These DJ's regularly drop new hot Reggaeton mixtapes, as well as Salsa, Mambo, and other latin classics. Jamsha has a great Reggaeton mixtape series titled "Reggaeton Hot Release". He has dropped tons of volumes, and they are great ideas for people who wanna get familiar with Reggaeton music.

Hip-Hop Mixtapes
Hip-Hop Mixtapes are an absolute essential item to any hip-hop fan. Some of the best jams I have ever heard in my life are from mixtapes rather than albums. Take D-Block, for example. Their albums have been hit or miss, with some good tracks and many not so good ones (usually musically rather than lyrically). But their mixtapes? I have never heard ONE single weak one. Take the new Green Lantern Sheek "Donnie Def Jam" mixtape. I have played it fully through at least ten times, and I have never heard a Sheek album that even comes close to it.
For anyone who is not too familiar with mixtapes or has only heard a few, or if you think all they are is a mix of different album songs, check em out. They have tons of exclusive material (as they are created to be promotional tools) and a variety of great stuff that you have never heard from your favorite artists.

Nicki Minaj Mixtapes
Another artist who built her independant grind through mixtapes and then blew up similar to Drake (funny how they're both on Young Money and came up under Lil' Wayne, who did exactly the same thing) is Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj mixtapes are what the current reigning queen of hip-hop built her career off of. Her debut didn't even drop until around 6 weeks ago, and by then it was too late for the competition.
Her first official mixtape, "Beam Me Up Scotty", paved the way for what was to come. In a space that had been left vacant by Remy Ma and Foxy's incarceration, Lil' Kim's hit-or-miss albums, and some others like Trina/Gangsta Boo/Diamond who are talented in their own right but could never attain the popularity to be deemed hip-hop's queen, Nicki Minaj worked her way right into the position. Through constant mixtapes and long road tours, she put her face in front of everyone and kept her name buzzing in the streets. She also brought a freshness and an originality to the game that had not been seen in awhile. Her success is well-deserved.

Drake Mixtapes
One artist that I must call out for superior mixtape work this past year is Drake. Regardless of how you feel about him, he used Drake mixtapes to change the entire game and to build a monstrously successful career before he had even began working on his debut album.
Drake used a method which had not been used often before him. He created each mixtape as if it was an album, complete with concepts, full long songs, and he didn't go over-heavy on the guests like a lot of other artists do. His first mixtape, "So Far Gone", has become a legendary classic, and it positioned Drake to take over the game.
Since that first one, Drake has dropped tons of mixtapes and gotten consistently better with each one. I was just listening to that new remix of "Fall For Your Type" with Jamie Foxx and another weird song called "Hit It In The Morning" that Drake guests on, and just marvelling at how when he gets on the track he just takes it over. Drake is definitely one to watch over the coming year.

Kanye West A Beautiful Death
One hip-hop artist who is quite familiar with the spotlight is Kanye West. Ever since dropping his excellent "808's and Heartbreak" a couple years ago (which many people didn't understand, but for those of us going through relationship issues it made all the sense in the world), Kanye has stayed in the spotlight, whether from dropping great hip-hop or acting up at awards shows. Kanye has had his share of Kanye West mixtapes, but he doesn't drop them with near the regularity of other artists.
The newest Kanye West mixtape "Kanye West-A Beautiful Death". This one has the newest material from the Louis Vuitton Don. New tracks include "Dark Fantasy", "Gorgeous" with Kid Cudi and Raekwon, "All The Lights" with Nicki Minaj and Rihanna, "Hell Of A Life", "Devil In A New Dress", "Runaway" with Pusha T (which has been already redone by Dipset, Clipse, D-Block), and more. This new music is inspired, and Kanye seems to have worked through his demons and gotten to a better place.

Lloyd Banks Blue Friday
One rapper who is quite familiar with the mixtape grind is Lloyd Banks. Ever since he first came onto the scene with 50 Cent and G-Unit, Banks made his name known and built a huge buzz for his debut album "The Hunger For More" off of his Lloyd Banks mixtapes. I was a huge fan of those original ones, like the old DJ Famous "Best Of Lloyd Banks" volumes that were just classics. Banks has a signature flow and some of the best punch lines in the game.
The newest Lloyd Banks mixtape is "Lloyd Banks-Blue Friday". This one features the newest of the new from Banks, including brand new banger "Celebrity" with Akon and "Start It Up" with Fabolous, Swizz Beats and Ryan Leslie, as well as "I Don't Deserve You", "Large On The Streets", "Take Em To War" with Tony Yayo, "Best Kept Secret", "Feel Like You" with Eminem, and more. Banks has always kept it the same, and his fans appreciate that. He still makes good songs, and his flow gets better with time.

Famous has been around for awhile now, and between his classic RnB mixtapes and his cutting-edge hip-hop ones, he is one of the better known DJ's in the mixtape game. His long-running RnB series "Sexual Affairs" brings you the newest of the new RnB perfectly crafted together into a flawless mixtape.
The newest volume, "Sexual Affairs 39-Can't Be Friends", features the newest RnB for December 2010. New tracks include Monica feat. Trey Songz "Here I Am"(Remix), Pleasure P and LeToya "She Likes", Trey Songz "Can't Be Friends", Keri Hilson "Breaking Point", Faith Evans "Gone Already", Ray J "Last Wish", Jerimih "Waiter/5 Senses", and many more. The nice thing about Famous' mixtapes is that nothing seems out of place or upsets the rhythm of the mixtape. It flows together as one unit.

DJ Rob E Rob The Official Fabolous Mixtape
Fabolous is one rapper who understands the strength of mixtapes. He has been grinding since he first came out in the early 2000's, and he built his name off the strength of his classic DJ Clue freestyles and his Fabolous mixtapes. Since then, Fab has dropped multiple albums (Last year's "Loso's Way" was the strongest ever) and tons of mixtape, including the excellent "There Is No Competition" series with DJ Drama.
DJ Rob E Rob has done many "Best-Of" mixtapes, and they all have one thing in common. They are between 60-90 tracks, and they seem to play forever. They are jammed full of every hit, hidden gems, exclusives, collabs, and everything else in between. The newest from him is "DJ Rob E Rob-The Official Fabolous Mixtape". This time around, Rob E Rob brings you a 90-track banger from Loso himself. This one has the new and the old, the exclusive and the classic. From "Throw It In The Bag" and "Make Me Better" to "My Girl Gotta Girlfriend" and "Keepin It Gangsta", you will love this one. These are great for long car rides. It's Loso, you know so cause I told you so.....

DJ Kid Capri Old School Volume One
One of the best known DJ's ever in hip-hop is easily Kid Capri. His old school mixtapes are widely sought after and considered classic in the mixtape game. Hailing from New York, Kid Capri was one of the first really big name DJ's who put their stamp on hip-hop.
One of Kid Capri's most classic mixtapes of all time was "Old School Volume One", which has been re-released by Kid Capri. This mixtape gem features throwbacks like Keni Burke "Keep Rising To The Top", Taan Gardner "Heartbeat", The Slyers "Misdemeanor", Barry White "Playing Your Game Baby", Debra Laws "Very Special", Instrumental "Gotta Get You Home", Staple Singer "I'll Take You There", King Floyd "Groove Me" and many other specially picked tracks. DJ White Owl Drop That 144
If you're looking for some great East Coast mixtapes, one series you must check out is White Owl's "Drop That" series. Though they are split between East Coast and Down South, they feature pretty much the hottest and newest East Coast material from all the greats: Diplomats, Jadakiss, Styles, Sheek, Nas, Jay-Z, DMX, Lloyd Banks, NORE, 50 Cent, etc. This series just keeps going (144 volumes in!) and may easily be the longest running mixtape series ever.
The newest edition is "DJ White Owl-Drop That 144". Picking up where 143 left off, this one features slammin new cuts like the BRAND new "Find Your Way" from all 3 D-Block members (Can we get that Lox album already?), Lloyd Banks "Large On The Streets", brand new Eminem "Celebrity" and a new solo verse for "All She Wrote", Jim Jones "Hold The Bottles Up" and "Shinin Like A Lamp", new NORE "The Hoodness", Big Lou "Cypha Bullies", and much more. It seems the East Coast is very much still alive...

DJ Scream DJ Whoo Kid Jim Jones Capo Life
Jim Jones mixtapes have always been real strong. From his first two official mixtapes (Ambitionz Of A Gangsta and Ryder Muzik) to his classic "7 Day Theory" with DJ Drama, to his killer slots on all of the Diplomats Volume 1-5 classic mixtapes, Jones has proved himself to be one of New York's hip-hop elite and his music is always raw and emotional. I have grown to be a bigger and bigger fan of Jones over the past few years. His last album was not so good, but his "Hustlers Pome" and "Harlem:Diary Of A Summer" albums were classic, and he has dropped tons of great mixtapes.
The new official Jim Jones mixtape is "DJ Scream DJ Whoo Kid-Jim Jones Capo Life". This one features all the brand new Jones material. New cuts include "Light It Up" with Sen City, "Runaway" with Cam'ron, "Dope Boi" with Mel Matrix, "Let Em Lay", the banger "Like Gangstas" with Snoop Dogg and Rell, the club banger "Lookin Like Money" with DJ Prostyle, the excellent "Haunted" with Gucci Mane, and many more. Jones drops consistent bangers, and he is one of the best to come out of New York.

DJ Spinatik Street Runnaz 54
DJ Spinatik drops another classic mixtape in his popular "Street Runnaz" mixtape series this past week. DJ Spinatik mixtapes are known for having some of the freshest and newest down south exclusives available, and this one is no different. I got into these from the very beginning, and I always hear tracks on them that just really hit me right.
This new volume, titled "Street Runnaz 54", has tons of fantastic new cuts. New joints include "Fire Flame" from the recently released Lil' Wayne along with Birdman, "Cocaine" from Twista and Yo Gotti, the bangin "Neighborhood Superstars" from Slim Thug, Yo Gotti and Nipsey Hussle, the brand new "I'm Outta Here" from Young Dro feat. Young AJ, the killer "I Need Doe" from Bun B, as well as new cuts from T.I, Slim Thug, Lil' Boosie, Rick Ross, Slim Dunkin, and more. Another solid effort from DJ Spinatik.

One of the newest solid down south mixtapes to drop lately is from DJ Rell and The Syndicate, titled "Run GA". This mixtape spotlights all of the many artists to come from Georgia and who are currently a large majority in the rap game. It's honestly crazy to see how many big names actually come from Atlanta (including Ludacris, Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Young Jeezy, and T.I.).
This new mixtape, titled "DJ Rell The Syndicate-Run GA", features brand new tracks like "I Push Da Weight" from Gucci Mane and OJ Da Juiceman, "Patty Cake" and "Everything" from Gucci Mane, "Sleep When I Die" from Young Jeezy, "Gangsta Hop" from Waka Flocka, the slammin' "Mr. Kodak" from T.I., "All She Wrote" from T.I. and Eminem, "What's Going On" from Gorilla Zoe, and many more.

DJ Scream Plies You Need People Like Me Part 2
DJ Scream mixtapes are always strong. Scream is down with Drama, and he has learned from Mr. Gangsta Grillz about putting together a solid mixtape. Scream also has a long history with Plies. DJ Scream was the first DJ to do an official mixtape with Plies, and said mixtape was the thing that helped Plies get his name out there and shortly after secure his deal. A couple months ago they hooked up again to bring you "You Need People Like Me", a slab of brand new but instantly classic Plies material.
Now, a few months later, DJ Scream and Plies bring you "You Need People Like Me Part 2", the second volume of brand new material from the Goon himself. Smokin new joints include Thinkin Bout, Paranoid, Throwin Money, F*ck A Nigga, Bodyguard, Go For It, Trying To Beat The Odds, My City, and more. This is another classic that will be long remembered by Plies fans as another great volume in his ever-growing catalog.

DJ Drama Tyga Well Done
DJ Drama mixtapes are the best mixtapes in the business, Period. Drama brought something to the game that was fresh, original, and much needed. Instead of simply grabbing new tracks from record companies, leaks, and other places, he actually got the artist themself into the studio and had them make all new songs over either brand new beats or other people's beats. This was like creating a new underground album. His Gangsta Grillz mixtapes are classics and are always hot.
Young Money's new sensation Tyga is the focus of this new mixtape. Titled "Tyga-Well Done", this is all brand new material from Lil' Wayne's new partner. New tracks include "Well Done", "Maybe", "Hard In The Paint", "Mirror" with Gudda Gudda, "Get Big", "Teach Me How To" freestyle, "Toot It And Boot It", "Black And Yellow", "BMF" and more. If it's a Drama mixtape, it is heat. Period.

DJ Delz Pusha T I'm Your Pusha
One artist who can definitely carry his own mixtape is Pusha T from the Clipse. Both he and his brother Malice are lyrical beasts, and whether it is on an album or a mixtape they continue to weave their cocaine/jewelry/Bentley tales with superb finesse. Since coming out with the hit "Grindin" with Pharrell years and years ago, they have built a successful career as some of the gods of coke rap.
DJ Delz brings you a new mixtape featuring all new Pusha T material, titled "I'm Your Pusha". Featuring strong cuts like "Free Mason", the crazy "Funk Flex Freestyle", "Start It Up", the new "Looking For Trouble" with Kanye West J Cole and Big Sean, "Home Sweet Home" with Lloyd Banks, "Arm Piece" with Pharrell, the killer "Dearly Beloved", "Kilo" with Fat Joe Cam'ron and Malice, and many more, this mixtape will keep you more than impressed and definitely satisfy your fiend for a shot of the Clipse. Hopefully there is a new album on the works...My joint was always that "Hell Hath No Fury". The Clipse are great, I just wish they would ditch Pharrell and get some better beat makers, like the Runnaz or Zaytoven.

DJ White Owl Drop That 142
DJ White Owl "Drop That" mixtapes have been strong since they first dropped. White Owl always brings the newest of the new exclusives and puts them back-to-back to create slamming mixtapes that pretty much ride front to back. I've heard some of the best exclusives in the past few years on White Owl mixtapes, and many of the songs never make it onto any other DJ's mixtapes.
The newest mixtape from DJ White Owl is "Drop That 142", following the same recipe that has built him this reputation for exclusives and solid mixtapes. Tons of new cuts on here, the easy standout being "Living Proof" from Eminem and Royce Da 5'9, where they simply kill it while subtly referring to Em's since-passed compadre Proof from D-12. Other new cuts from Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, Lloyd Banks, Papoose, Cassidy, Styles P, Hell Rell and many more round out a banging mixtape, and to top it off you get a nice mix of East and South both without leaning heavier to either way.
