DJ Envy mixtapes are so strong that he actually built himself a career that landed him a spot on MTV doing episodes of a music show. DJ Envy has a long career of strong and well-known mixtapes, from his "Hit List" series to his "Down N Dirty RnB Series" to his fantastic down south "Purple Codeine" series.
This newest edition, done as a collabo between DJ Envy and Tapemasters Inc, is titled "Purple Codeine 33". This one, in the usual vein, features all the newest and hottest southern hip-hop tracks. New joints include Jeezy's take on Wiz Khalifa's "Black And Yellow" (which may be THE most remixed song of 2010), the brand new banger "Poppin Bottles" from T.I. featuring Drake, the fantastic "Fuck You" from my dude Slim Thug featuring Lil Wayne, "Fast" from the king himself Bun B featuring Lloyd, plus new ones from Birdman, Rick Ross, Pusha T, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane and more.
